I have the same mower new carb starts up fine but after it’s all warmed up it surges until it turns off can you help? I do notice the throttle body opens and closes quiet a bit when it’s about to die

i changed the carb diaphragm, air filter, spark plug, oil and gas. the cord was stuck was what prompted the repairs. the mower ran hard, but I was able to adjust the governer flap. it still ran a little hard, but i mowed anyway since my yard is small. one of the repair guys here on youtube made it sound like running a little hard is okay. when i turned it off after i quick cut my grass, it was smoking just a little. the next time i tried to mow, the mower wouldn't start at all. is it too late to have hope for it?

my pressure washer didn't start after a few years in storage. I removed the jet on top of the carb while cleaning. it now revs high & smokes I may have put weed eater gas but I drained that best I could. could the jet I removed make it rev high & burn rich?

I was so happy to find this video to help me with my mower RPM problem. I did what you suggested and the mower started to run very nicely for about 10 min. Then it died and I can't get it started at all again. It seems like it isn't getting fuel now. Help! Did I mess up the carburator?

Dan Brust says:

Thank you I had the exact problem and you helped me fix it!!!

Use a tachometer, and then he does what the rest of us will do and does it by ear. Great video though it helped me.

Hey Mower Medic 1. Thank you for making these videos! I have a Briggs and Stratton 6.75 (same one on video) and I did just the same thing prior to seeing this vidio. I ran it for a bit, then it began to do the same thing. Idol speed jumping up and down, then it quits out. I removed carb, prayed it out with cleaner as well. Not sure what's going on now, but I can't find my dog because the lawn is so tall! Help me sir! Thank you from Gold Bar, WA

Dave B says:

Thanks!-This fixed my low rpm problem after replacing my carb. I put the spring back in the wrong spot. Runs perfect now

I need help and I think I broke my lawnmower and here is my question If you did put the cord on your lawn mower put forgot to push down lever and the motor makes a clunk sound can it still start and I pulled the cord a lot of times and I don't know what to do and it started but now it was having a lot of black smoke with it and it's a craftman self pusher

Jakeornot says:

Or, in the case of my lawn mower that was threatening to implode due to high rpms, you blow out the mouse nest from inside the engine.
